Click the “Register Now” button below and follow the prompts on screen to sign up for the Hydra® Hunt. Registration will be limited to the first 500 participants.

IMPORTANT:  This is an individual competition. Your Team Name should be your first and last name.

Challenges will be delivered via the Scavr mobile app.  Download this directly from the App Store or Google Play by searching “Scavr” or clicking the badges below.

Login to the app using the same information you registered with online.  

Once you’ve registered online and logged into the Scavr app, the Hydra® Hunt should appear in the app under My Hunts. (Figure 1)

Challenges will appear as a list, with a brief description and point values assigned to each challenge. (Figure 2) There are a total of 35 challenges adding up to a maximum score of 225 points. Complete challenges to score as many points as possible. The highest score wins; in the likely event of a tie, the top scorers will be entered into a random drawing to choose one grand prize winner.

Challenge Type #1: Photos

Photo challenges will be indicated with a blue camera icon.

To complete this challenge:

1. Click on the challenge you wish to complete to view the full set of instructions

2. Take the photo as described in the challenge.

Note: We recommend taking the photo in your phone’s default camera app, then uploading it to Scavr ensure it’s saved in your photo library.

3. On the challenge’s instruction screen, click the Take / Add Photo button to upload the photo to the Scavr app (Figure 3)

4. Once uploaded hit “Submit”

5. The challenge instruction screen will now show Waiting for Approval and challenge list view will show a grey circle with three dots. (Figure 3) Our staff will be reviewing and approving these photos within 72 hours.

Challenge Type #2: QR Code Scans

QR Code challenges will be indicated with a red QR code icon.

To complete this challenge:

1. Click on the challenge you wish to complete to view the full set of instructions

2. On the challenge’s instruction screen, click the Scan Code button to open the code scanner (Figure 5)

3. Once scanned, the challenge will automatically complete. The instruction screen will show Complete! and challenge list view will show a green check mark. 

Challenge Type #3: Trivia

Trivia challenges will be indicated with a yellow lock icon.

To complete this challenge:

1. Click on the challenge you wish to complete to view the full set of instructions

2. On the challenge’s instruction screen, enter the answer in the text field and click Check Answer. (Figure 6)

Note: Answers must match exactly, so we’ve provided some helpful hints to make this easier. Incorrect responses will receive an error message; correct responses will automatically complete the challenge.
